It's official! Legoland Shanghai Resort — China's very first Legoland theme park — is opening on July 5!
For all the Lego lovers out there: The resort is launching its exclusive 1st-to-play Annual Pass and 1st-to-Stay Hotel Staycation Package on May 7, with resort-registered members getting early access on June 19! Annual pass holders will unlock amazing year-round perks!
The resort is now entering its final construction phase, with the hotel already completed.
The resort's 24 core rides are undergoing final commissioning, while the Lego brick-inspired Legoland Hotel has been completed and handed over for operations.
The resort's Miniland, a signature attraction featuring landmarks, historical sites, and natural wonders from major cities crafted from over 36 million Lego bricks, is over 90 percent complete. This signature attraction incorporates dynamic lighting, sound effects, and interactive elements.
In a world-first offering, the resort will premiere the Lego Monkie Kid live show, featuring 13 professional puppeteers and a 3.7-meter-tall Demon Bull King puppet, complete with projection effects and large-scale props.
The park will also offer 22 daily character meet-and-greets with Lego friends, 11 themed shows and special events, and a 4D cinema showcasing Lego movies.
As the opening day approaches, the resort has recruited around 1,000 staff members and will conduct nearly 100 emergency drills before the trial operation begins.
Located in Jinshan district's Fengjing town in Shanghai, the resort features eight themed lands with over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions as well as thousands of Lego models crafted with over 85 million Lego bricks.
The resort, designed for families with children aged 2 to 12, is positioned adjacent to Jinshan North Railway Station, offering 18-minute access to Shanghai Hongqiao Hub.
