As the ninth China International Import Expo approaches, the 2,700-square-meter Lin-gang exhibition area is taking shape within the technical equipment exhibition area at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
The exhibition area is jointly organized by the Lin-gang Special Area Administration and Lingang Group.
More than 100 overseas companies from nearly 20 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, and France, will showcase more than 150 star exhibits in the expo's largest single exhibition space.
This year, exhibitors will go beyond displaying individual products to showcase complete technology and industrial ecosystems.
The exhibition area will showcase the Lin-gang Special Area's achievements, along with two corporate sections focused on modern industrial clusters and future industries. Both multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises will participate.
Tesla will have a dedicated space in the Lin-gang exhibition area for the first time. The company will recreate the manufacturing scenes at its Shanghai Gigafactory and showcase its developments in artificial intelligence, driver assistance, smart manufacturing, and energy. Another highlight will be a display area shaped like Tesla's autonomous multi-purpose vehicle, where humanoid robots will simulate factory tasks, move luggage, and even walk a dog.
A series of immersive exhibits will showcase the Lin-gang Special Area's vibrant innovation and entrepreneurial activities at the expo, spotlighting OPC (one-person company) communities, including Zero Cube and Lingang Sci-Tech City, as well as the innovation practices of nearly 1,000 young entrepreneurs.
Spanning more than 330 sq m, the AI innovation experience zone will offer hands-on, immersive experiences. Making its CIIE debut, Hitch Open will launch the world's first open-source platform for physical AI competitions, including robot table tennis. It will also host robot table tennis matches on the platform, where robots make autonomous decisions without remote controls, scripts, or human intervention, in a bid to set a new world record.
