Hongqiao shines at CIFIT 2026

The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District showcased its overseas-expansion services at the 26th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), held in Xiamen 8 to 11.

The district's administrative commission, together with the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center and the Shanghai CIPA Overseas Service platform, set up a themed booth in Hall 3. It showcased a service network map, case studies and an overseas-expansion service package, while offering free one-on-one consultations on cross-border investment, overseas market entry and compliance.

The booth attracted representatives from 231 companies, while 285 new users registered for Hongqiao's overseas service mini-program, according to the commission.

On Sept 9, the commission and the Department of Investment Promotion Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce co-hosted a matchmaking event titled "Going Global, Starting from Hongqiao", bringing together more than 100 representatives from enterprises, institutions and business associations.

At the event, Hongqiao launched an overseas-expansion service package featuring 44 leading agencies and 119 services across 25 categories, covering companies' needs throughout their overseas expansion journey. It also released the 2026 Report on Testing and Certification for Corporate Overseas Expansion, providing compliance solutions covering more than 270 countries and regions.

During the fair, the delegation visited six key booths and toured seven institutions and companies in Xiamen to gather feedback local practices in overseas-expansion services.

Hongqiao said it will expand its service resources beyond the Yangtze River Delta and deepen domestic and international cooperation to help more Chinese companies expand into global markets.
