Fresh off delivery, the Chinese‑built car carrier Glovis Nova made an impressive debut at Shanghai South Port Terminal on July 26, setting a new national record for the largest single-voyage commercial vehicle shipment.

The cargo comprised 7,738 Tesla Model 3 and Model Y passenger vehicles bound for European markets. They would stretch about 36 kilometers if lined up end to end, and occupy around 67,600 square meters — equivalent to 9.5 standard soccer fields — if parked together.

At Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory in Lin-gang Special Area, a new vehicle rolls off the production line every 30-plus seconds. Just an hour later, it can arrive at the nearby port to be loaded onto a roll-on/roll-off vessel.

The tightly coordinated workflow highlights the strength of Lin-gang's integrated automotive supply chain and high-capacity logistics network.
