A global youth exchange event was held at the International Innovation Center of Tsinghua University, Shanghai, in Putuo district on July 1.
The event, an important part of the Shanghai leg of the fourth Tsinghua Global Youth Dialogue, brought together more than 50 Chinese and international youth representatives to exchange ideas and explore Putuo's innovation ecosystem through site visits.
Earlier in the day, participants visited an exhibition hall on the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt, Taopu Smart City, a talent apartment community and Changfeng Cybersecurity Industrial Park, gaining first-hand insights into Putuo's sci-tech development and talent ecosystem. Putuo serves as the Shanghai starting point of the Shanghai-Nanjing Industrial Innovation Belt.
An international youth innovation and entrepreneurship service platform was also launched during the event.
Offering support in international exchange, project incubation, policy services, and capital matchmaking, the platform aims to provide one-stop services for young innovators and entrepreneurs in Putuo and across Shanghai, marking a new milestone in the center's efforts to support young international talent.
Jointly established by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and Tsinghua University in 2019, the International Innovation Center of Tsinghua University, Shanghai is an innovation platform rooted in Shanghai, serving the Yangtze River Delta region and extending its reach nationwide.
The center highlights Putuo district's strengths in scientific and technological innovation, industrial ecosystem development, a supportive policy environment, well-equipped talent apartments, full-chain service support and the area's strong academic heritage.
