The first Hongqiao Tech Week will take place from Nov 20 to 22 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) in the Hongqiao International Central Business District, organizer Informa Markets China announced.

Through a series of conferences, exhibitions and networking events, the three-day gathering aims to connect global innovation resources with China's rapidly expanding technology ecosystem.

Bringing together startups, investors and technology solution providers from around the world, the event will spotlight high-growth sectors such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, autonomous mobility, new energy and semiconductors.

Six themed stages will focus on key technology fields and startup investment, while immersive experiences combining technology with art, fashion and sports are expected to offer participants a distinctive experience. Attendees will also have access to exclusive VIP tours of leading Chinese technology companies, including Huawei and iFlytek.

"As a strategic hub for integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta, Hongqiao is committed to fostering an open, inclusive and international innovation ecosystem," said Kong Fu'an, executive deputy director of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Commission.

"The launch of Hongqiao Tech Week not only showcases Shanghai's strengths as a global technology hub but also creates a bridge connecting international innovation with the Yangtze River Delta market. We look forward to promoting the deeper integration of technology, capital and talent through this platform," said Kong.

Athena Gong, vice-president of Informa Markets Asia, described the event as a gateway to the future — where international businesses gain access to China's tech economy, innovators find inspiration, and ambitious pioneers help shape the next decade of technological progress.
