The 2026 Shanghai International MCN Conference will be held from May 29 to 30 at the Litang cultural center in Huangpu district, Shanghai.
The event will bring together more than 100 MCN executives, 300 leading agencies, and thousands of content professionals. It is expected to create opportunities in the cultural and tourism sector while building a framework centered on policy guidance, industry empowerment, benchmarking, and cross-sector communication.
The opening ceremony on May 29 will provide an overview of industry trends and opportunities through keynote speeches, the release of an industry white paper, and high-level roundtable discussions. International content creator and author Evan Kail is among the keynote speakers and will share his experiences in China as well as his motivation for cross-cultural storytelling.
A major roundtable session will focus on "growth innovation and new commercial models driven by high-quality content". It will bring together leading figures from China's content and MCN sector, including top MCN operators, commercial insight creators, podcast industry leaders, and mental health content innovators. Discussions will cover frontier topics such as content innovation and new monetization models.
The China MCN Industry Development Report, the country's first government-guided and university-led academic study in this field, will unveil its 2026 annual white paper at the event. Led by researchers at the School of Management at Fudan University, the report will present findings on KOL (Key Opinion Leader) demographics and audience behavior, providing data-based support for industry planning and development.
