First Overseas Investment Fair to open in Shanghai on March 25

The first Overseas Investment Fair, hosted by the China Council for International Investment Promotion, will be held from March 25 to 28 at the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone.

Under the theme "Better Services for Shared Prosperity in Global Investment", the fair is intended to provide a platform for overseas investment and related support services and to facilitate connections between Chinese and international businesses.

The event will include one opening ceremony, one thematic seminar, 100 targeted matchmaking sessions, and a 5,200-square-meter exhibition area, covering a wide range of overseas investment needs.

The program will focus on the following areas.

01 International exchange and cooperation

Participants will include representatives from international organizations and institutions, foreign embassies in China, overseas business associations, multinational companies, and Chinese overseas economic cooperation zones. They will discuss trends in economic globalization, the opportunities and challenges in global industrial and supply chain cooperation, and potential areas for regional trade and investment cooperation.

02 Professional services

The exhibition area will bring together investment promotion agencies from China and abroad, Chinese overseas economic cooperation zones, and professional service providers in legal, financial, tax, logistics, and management consulting. Participants will be able to access brand displays, presentations, and one-on-one consultations.

03 Business matchmaking

The targeted matchmaking sessions will focus on markets including ASEAN, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, as well as sectors such as manufacturing, digital and smart industries, and green development. These sessions are intended to support more direct connections between companies, investment agencies, and professional service providers.

Eligible overseas invitees may stay in the Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone visa-free for up to 30 days. The zone also offers logistical advantages that support exhibitions and business activities efficiently.
