Shanghai's Jing'an district has introduced a pioneering innovation community aimed at supporting one-person companies in the AI-generated content sector.

An OPC represents an entrepreneurial model in which a solo founder, with artificial intelligence as a collaborative partner, manages the entire business operation.

The community provides a full-spectrum, one-stop service ecosystem, supported by a comprehensive package that integrates incubation, industrial empowerment, and financing to drive sustainable startup growth.

Founders gain access to a startup support package offering resource vouchers for computing power, AI models, data corpus, and tools worth up to 100,000 yuan ($14,265).

Beyond infrastructure, the community delivers end-to-end services including mentorship, investment and market matchmaking, and comprehensive support in legal, financial, tax, and intellectual property matters.

For high-potential projects, substantial development funding is available, with grants of up to 1 million yuan for designing influential original intellectual property and up to 1 million yuan for piloting significant innovative applications of AIGC.

Talent development is a priority, with top-tier industry professionals receiving comprehensive support covering residency permits, housing subsidies, children’s education, and healthcare.

Creator competitions with prizes of up to 200,000 yuan will also be held to incentivize entrepreneurship.
