The inaugural China (Shanghai) International Men's Life Style Expo, the world’s first comprehensive exhibition dedicated to men's quality of life, is set to take place at the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Center of International Sourcing in Putuo district from Dec 26 to 28. It will spotlight the burgeoning "He Economy".
Shi Yu, deputy director of the Shanghai Promotion Center for City of Fashion, said that the Chinese male consumer market is characterized by a significant supply gap and rapid growth in demand. Male consumers in modern times are increasingly investing in their personal , health, hobbies, lifestyle, and aesthetics, shifting from purchasing single items to seeking complete experiences and services, Shi said.
The exhibition covers nearly 10,000 square meters, benefiting over 50 brands and creating a testing ground for the integration of fashion, technology and consumption. It transcends traditional marks for men with four immersive sections: "He is Stylish", "He is Trendy", "He is Adventurous", and "He is Wellness-focused".
Attendees can explore contemporary interpretations of classic menswear by brands like Satchi and Franck Zilla, experience gender-neutral designs by YOR, and engage with virtual sports through SWING PLAY's metaverse golf. The event also brings professional fishing gear by Mermaid Fishing into everyday leisure.
By integrating major conventions like CCG EXPO and ICG EXPO, Putuo is solidifying its foundation in professional exhibitions while expanding into emerging categories. The China (Shanghai) International Men's Life Style Expo will foster a dynamic synergy of global innovations and local brands, enhancing Shanghai's status as an international consumption hub.
