The 2025 Investment Future Opportunities Conference (IFOC) recently held in Shanghai gathered over 400 entrepreneurs involved in international trade and industrial investment to delve into the opportunities and challenges presented by the new global trade landscape.

In his speech at the conference, Yang Xubo, deputy director of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee, said that the Hongqiao CBD is committed to helping enterprises go global by combining government, professional, and public services, as well as expanding the functions of the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center.

According to Yang, in the first five months of this year, over 60 foreign-related activities were held, serving more than 1,500 enterprises, of which one-third are from the Yangtze River Delta region outside Shanghai.

During the conference, the IFOC Going Global Advisory Group was established, inviting officials, entrepreneurs, and industry experts in international investment and trade from various countries to provide invaluable intellectual support for Chinese enterprises venturing overseas.

In a roundtable dialogue, five experts engaged in in-depth discussions, offering insights on developing compliance systems and comprehensive outbound ecosystems for enterprises amidst the current international trade landscape.

Li Ning, director of the Shanghai Information Service Outsourcing Development Center, introduced two refined lightweight outbound products designed to facilitate international cooperation for enterprises in an efficient and cost-effective way.
