WAIC 2024 kicks off in Shanghai

Today, the world's spotlight once again turns to Shanghai as the 2024 World AI Conference & High-Level Meeting on Global AI Governance (WAIC 2024) commences along the scenic banks of the Huangpu River.

The forums will take place from July 4 to 6, with the exhibition running from July 4 to 7.

This year's conference, themed "Governing AI for Good and for All", will cover key topics, such as AI ethics and governance, foundation models, embodied AI, and AI in investment and financing, education, and talent development. 

This year's exhibition has been significantly expanded. It boasts record-breaking numbers in scale, participating companies, highlight exhibits, and debut products. In the realm of embodied intelligence, over 40 intelligent robots, including 25 humanoid robots, will be on display. The exhibition will also showcase the latest advancements in large models, including text-to-speech, text-to-image, text-to-video, and open-source models, illustrating the newest practices that are empowering a multitude of industries.
