Shanghai is abuzz with the ongoing 2024 Imported Goods Shopping Festival, which is offering a unique global shopping experience until the end of June.

Launched on May 9, this festival, now in its fifth year, aims to engage shoppers with a variety of activities promoting imported goods, especially popular products from the China International Import Expo (CIIE).

With a focus on turning CIIE exhibits into commodities, cultural exchange, and open cooperation, the festival features 62 themed activities that blend shopping, entertainment, and cultural experiences under two main themes, including 37 imported goods-themed activities and 25 Country-specific Product Cultural Month activities.

The imported goods-themed activities that highlight CIIE offerings include the CIIE Bazaar City Arena that has been unveiled on Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The market showcases an array of over 5,000 products and distinctive goods across 25 country-specific pavilions.

In the Country-specific Product Cultural Month series, a highlight is the Japan Sake Month event, which is set to offer a month-long celebration of Japanese sake and cuisine. Attendees can explore a diverse range of new and exclusive sake products from over 100 exhibitors, including award-winning brews and limited editions that are making their debut in China.

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations, Bailian Group will host the French Summer Music Festival, featuring a mix of French products, street art, music, and movies.

In addition, the Silk Road Countries Wine Festival will showcase the diverse wine cultures and history of Silk Road countries such as Mongolia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Australia through wine-themed activities, professional courses, and interactive consumer experiences.
